Description
The EVAL_2KW_3L_BTP_Si_PFC is a 2 kW evaluation platform implementing a 3-level bridgeless totem-pole boost (3L-BTP-PFC) power factor correction (PFC) topology, optimized for universal AC input applications. The converter operates in continuous conduction mode (CCM) with a fixed switching frequency. This design leverages ICERGi’s proprietary gate driver technology to enable fast, reliable switching of 150 V silicon MOSFETs in the high-frequency boost leg, facilitating low conduction and switching losses.
The input rectification stage utilizes an 800 V, 8 A-rated diode bridge, allowing for a cost-effective implementation while maintaining robust operation over a wide input voltage range up to 9 ARMS. Digital control is implemented using a cost-effective Arm Cortex-M0 STM32F0 microcontroller, providing a compact, scalable, and fully programmable control platform. This board is well-suited for system designers targeting high power density and cost-optimized front-end PFC stages in applications such as industrial power supplies, ATX/SFX PSUs and servers.
