With increasing demand for highly efficient power conversion driven by applications like AI edge and other advanced loads, ICERGi provides purpose-built Si- and SiC-based AC-DC solutions, supported by a complete design suite. 3-Level Bridgeless Totem-Pole PFC is available in two configurations, offering flexibility to align with specific design goals. The Si-based implementation, using stacked low-voltage devices, is ideal for cost-sensitive designs requiring proven reliability and broad component sourcing options. For applications demanding even higher efficiency and enhanced thermal performance, the SiC-based alternative delivers a streamlined architecture with simplified control and drive structure as well as reduced cooling overhead. Each implementation offers flexibility to incorporate bottom- or dual-side cooled switching devices in the synchronous boost stage.

ICERGi’s advancements enable the development of compact, high-performance PFC converters that achieve cost parity with conventional designs while reducing losses by up to 40% and occupying significantly less space. By integrating features such as power-over-signal isolate gate drive and flexible digital control, our technology facilitates the practical deployment of multilevel PFC applications across a wide range of power levels (700 W – 5.5 kW). Our proprietary gate drive technology, combined with proven digital control, ensures best-in-class PFC efficiency. Moreover, our solutions offer substantial reductions in magnetics and filtering requirements, achieving a remarkable 50% reduction in size and cost for EMI filters. We also realise a substantial 75% size reduction and a 70% cost reduction in main PFC inductors. ICERGi’s compact control and drive systems, all integrated within a mere 40 x 30 mm footprint, further underscore the cost-efficiency and space-saving advantages of our technology.
